Monster Con Series Print-and-Play Is Go!
By Lester | June 15, 2013
As of today (June 15), all four decks in the Monster Con card game series are available at DriveThruRPG.com in Print-and-Play format. You can find them via the following links.
Above is a snapshot of page 3 printed out from Return of Monster Con, on pre-perforated Avery Name Badge Insert card stock. (A box of 400 costs under $16 and will print seven decks. You can use unperforated card stock and scissors, of course, but I like the convenience of just popping out neat-edged cards.) Below that printout are four cards from Monster Con: Cthulhu Pack that I’ve slid into Ultra*Pro Deck Protector Sleeves, to make shuffling and dealing even easier. (You can get those sleeves in red,
black,
blue,
orange,
purple,
and other colors.) Name-badge stock and Ultra Pro sleeves are what I use for playtesting and demoing all my new designs.

Invasion Bonus Cards – Nearing Completion
By Lester | June 9, 2013
Bradley K. McDevitt recently completed two of the last illustrations for Popcorn Press‘s upcoming Invasion of the Saucer People bonus deck. Here they are, with their powers in the game.
Navigator Jere, Ceres: Tracking: Once per game, change your suit to match the suit of any attacking card.
Engineer Elaina, Luna: Deep-Space Communication: Once per game, give another player one card from your hand. That player gives you one card in return.
Just two illustrations left to go!

Confused?
By Lester | May 27, 2013
Dear friends,
Over the course of the past year, I’ve published a book of Cthulhu poetry and fiction, a friend’s Cold War novel, and two other poet’s collections; published two card games of my own; designed four more decks; revised a dice game; managed three successful Kickstarter projects; mastered a fair amount of Japanese; learned a bit of Korean; and supported my spouse through several surgeries—all while working a day job to keep the bills paid and the family insured. My to-do list is literally four to-do lists, just to keep projects straight.
So if I sometimes seem confused over little things, like remembering where the bathroom is located in a convention hall I visit maybe once a year, it’s not senility—it’s priorities.
Sincerely,
—Les
