Cuban Missile Crisis 50 Years Ago Today

Fifty years ago today, President Kennedy made a speech to the American people, announcing the presence of nuclear missiles in Cuba. The Cuban Missile Crisis very nearly plunged the world into global thermonuclear war. Some argue that it was only the action of one officer aboard a single Soviet sub that averted such catastrophe.

Veteran author Douglas Niles has written a chilling novel of how history might have gone differently, “for want of a nail.” Today (Oct. 22) only, Final Failure, Eyeball to Eyeball is available for free in PDF form from Popcorn Press.
