At QuinCon 28, I ran a role-playing event called “Ghost of a Chance,” in which the player characters are people who have died before their time. The game system was an adaptation of the D6•D6 mechanics I devised years ago for Steve Stone’s Zero setting. The session went extremely well, convincing me that the system is great for quick convention games and short campaigns in unusual settings.
So I’m working on a core set of rules, which will be posted at www.HIVErpg.com, and daughter Kate (Popcorn Press‘s graphic designer) put together the cover image above. (Click it for a closer view.) We’re currently investigating OGL options for those rules, and the HIVE RPG site will also be getting a whole slew of settings chapters.
