As you may have noted from blog posts since November, life has been a challenge of late. Gaming has been a comfort, online, at conventions, and solo. And it has led to some joys like the d4ce rpg.
This particular video contains a YouTube Live stream from November, using Cut Up Solo – The Virginian as an oracle for another BNHP Julia Baily adventure. Recently, getting a workable recording and editing space set up encouraged me to figure out how to download an unpublished Livestream video from YouTube—because their online editor is a pain. Within a few hours, this was finished and reuploaded.
Running the live stream itself was stressful. Cut Up Solo prompts are multifaceted enough to require some time parsing, and every second of silence weighed on me. Meanwhile, I was flipping between that browser tab and an online dice emulator. While also trying to interact with the chat panel.
But looking it over again today, months away from that stress, I think there’s some value to the session.
